This laptop is Acer's offer in the performance ultra-portable section, a direct competitor for the Asus ROG Zephyrus, Razer Blade 15, MSI GS65/GS66 Stealth and Gigabyte Aero 15 lines. It's an excellent performer, with a high power CPU implementation and Overclocked graphics, in this case the RTX 2080 Super running at between 80 to 100W in the various performance modes. It also gets dual-storage with RAID Support, dual RAM slots and dual Optimus/GSync modes, making it a versatile all-rounder, both for daily use and for gaming (with a restart in between). That 300 Hz screen also adds up to the gaming experience, but thermals is where this laptop excels, offering some of the better results in its class. Sure, for that you'll need to pump up the fans to Turbo, but the other power profiles are versatile and allow to juggle with the fans and performance settings in order to get the right experience. On the other hand, the Predator Triton 500 lacks some of the features available with the competition, is difficult to upgrade and perhaps not as well made as some of the other options.
